Mi primer vínculo con el arte fue a través de una tía. Ella me convocaba a experiencias diferentes a las de la cotidianeidad de la época. Dedicaba sus días a pintar con oleo, pero lo que a mí me fascinaba, era cómo intervenía fotos con un pincel extremadamente finito; verla me hacia bien. Era mi mejor medicina. Cuando tuve que elegir a qué me iba a dedicar, estaba entre estudiar arquitectura, matemática o medicina porque lo que yo realmente quería era ejercer la acción de sanar y propiciar espacios de sanación, en cualquiera de las formas en que pudieran presentarse.
Soy artista visual, arquitecta. Me interesa el área proyectual, la sustentabilidad y la psicología. Pienso en mi trabajo como el lugar donde suceden diversos modos de operar y asimilar procesos históricos personales. Me interesa investigar sobre algunos vestigios o desechos socioculturales, los cuales se integran con aquel relato personal y se plasman finalmente en las obras.
Trabajo con materiales que refieren a mi propia historia: restos, telas, fragmentos de obras y prendas de vestir que se re significan en el presente. Es importante para mí realizar un análisis de cada uno de ellos, clasificarlos y proceder a la acción de cortarlos, enrollarlos, quemarlos, coserlos, en una palabra, intervenirlos. Desde lo conceptual, me interesa la figura del cuadrado como idea, forma de organización que sintetiza un espacio, conformando un territorio de posibilidades que se repite en una trama infinita. Articulo esas tramas como un espacio corporal en el que puedo dialogar y transformar, generando así, un relato con nueva poesía.

My first approach to art was inspired by an aunt of mine. She would invite me to join her in activities different from those of everyday life. She would spend whole days painting with oils…but what fascinated me the most was to observe her as she intervened photos with an extremely fine brush; that made me feel good. It was my best medicine. Actually, when I had to choose what I should major in, my options were architecture, mathematics and medicine: what I really wanted was to heal and promote healing spaces, in any form or version.
I am a visual artist, an architect. Im interested in the project area, sustainability and psychology. I think of my work as the place where I can deal with and assimilate personal experiences in different modes. I am also interested in examining specific sociocultural vestiges, which become intertwined with those personal stories and are finally shaped in my pieces.
I work with materials that represent my own history: cuttings, fabrics, scraps of cloth and fragments of old works that can be re-signified in the present. I first carry out an analysis of each of these materials, classify them and then I decide whether to cut them, roll them, burn them, sew them, that is, how to intervene them. From a conceptual point of view, I am interested in the figure of the square as a form of organization that synthesizes a space, delineating a territory which offers infinite possibilities of patterns. I envisage these patterns as a bodily space which enables dialogue and
transformation, and where a story with new poetry can be created.
